Showbiz Cinemas announces plans for four new locations, of which three are located in the greater Houston area, and one will be located at Beltway 8 and Wilson Rd, featuring 10 screens, and 14 bowling lanes.
- Baytown, Texas; located at the southeast corner of I-10 and 146: 10 screens including SDX and 14 bowling lanes.
- Houston, Texas; located at Beltway 8 and Highway 90: 12 screens including multiple SDX auditoriums.
- Houston, Texas; Canyon Lakes, located at Beltway 8 and Wilson Road: 10 screens including SDX and 14 bowling lanes.
- Lindale, Texas; located at I-20 and Thedford Crossing: 10 screens including SDX and 14 bowling lanes.
The expansion will make ShowBiz Cinemas one of the leading privately owned theatre operators in Texas.
All four locations will feature SDX screens; state-of-the-art digital projection with 3D capabilities; oversized leather seating; pristine digital sound; self-serve concession areas and a full café and bar that will offer theatre favorites in addition to an expanded menu that will enable both theatre and bowling guests to enjoy delicious items including brisket sliders, flatbread pizzas, angus burgers, chicken tenders, as well as hand-scooped Blue Bell ice cream and a full selection of Starbucks beverages. The bars will serve a complete selection of mixed drinks, premium wines, craft beers and frozen cocktails.
ShowBiz Cinemas has also started construction on an enhanced expansion at its location in Kingwood, Texas, which will add both a SDX auditorium and bar amenity to the popular Houston area theatre. Targeted to open this Christmas, SDX is ShowBiz Cinemas’ signature premium large format auditorium.
The company also has an additional 34 screens and 44 bowling lanes under negotiation and is expected to make official announcements soon.
