Precinct Two Commissioner Jack Morman announced last month the start of construction on two traffic signals eagerly awaited by residents of the Atascocita South and Eagle Springs subdivisions located south of Atascocita Road. “Please excuse our mess during construction. We’ll be working as fast as possible,” Morman said. The total project costs are over $500,000.
Signals along Atascocita Road at Atascocita Trace and Eagle Springs Parkway should be up and running by the end of July. Residents now face long morning and evening delays at those locations, in addition to serious safety concerns.
Morman, who has represented Atascocita on Harris County Commissioners Court just recently due to redistricting said, “It’s been very frustrating for residents since these two projects have been needed for years. I’m glad we’re finally able to move forward. We have several other safety and traffic improvements for Atascocita in the planning stage that will be announced in the near
future.”
