I’m not sure why they needed a new image, but the City of Houston’s economic development group has re-branded itself “Houston: The City With No Limits” – TV spots will run locally this year, and the campaign will eventually be launched worldwide.
But wait, it’s only costing The City of Houston $12 MILLION DOLLARS! — The Houston Chronicle reports that “Around $12 million will be spent over the next five or six years, either on marketing the city through the image campaign or targeting young professionals, and starting next year the Greater Houston Partnership will recruit on college campuses.”
They even have a new video touting it’s going to be the BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE! or rather, “Oo-o-o-o-oo This is gonna be the best day of my li-ife, My li-i-i-i-i-ife” by the rock band from New York American Authors
